I was rejected, and I’m blogging about it!
First, here is the lyrics video that I made for my new AI-generated single, This Newfangled Slang:
She’s tired of kids these days and their newfangled slang. Maybe she should blog about it?
The last few weeks have been a whirlwind. As stated in my About page, I am, among other things, a generative AI artist (or generative AI producer, as I actually prefer). Because the landscape around generative AI continues to be a fluid one I hadn’t held out a lot of hope for finding a publisher or distributor for some of my AI-generated non-literary works, and I was pleasantly surprised to discover a distributor who seemed to be friendly to the idea of publishing an AI-generated album. I had (and have) more than enough tracks for a decent album, and I had one banger in particular that I had wanted to release as a single.
I got all signed up, went through the process, made the YouTube videos- The whole nine yards.
At the last second a hold was put on my album and, after much discussion with the distributor, they opted not to release the album. They were polite and left the door open to future releases as the landscape changes, but for now I am selling on Bandcamp, which allows for generative AI works.
And with that, you can now find my first album, Blog About It! on my Bandcamp page and on YouTube.

Keep an eye out moving forward- I am already moving towards a second album, and over coming weeks I would like to touch on subjects around AI art and the critiques of society offered in my album, Blog About It!
